About Us

The York Area Pet Bird Club, known as YAPBC, is a well established group of parrot and pet bird enthusiast local to the York, Harrisburg, Lancaster and surrounding areas. The club was established in 1981 and maintains a rich heritage through its members old and new alike. The members involvement with parrots range from hobbyists, breeders, and professionals. A wide-variety of species are represented by members including African Greys, Conures, Cockatoos, Cockatiels, Doves, Lovebirds, Lories, Parakeets, Parrotlets, Macaws, Amazons, and Finches. Dedicated to teaching the care, sharing the knowledge, and telling of the love and joy of pet birds.
